On September 12, president ZHANG Tielong led a delegation to visit the demonstration base “ Integrated green control technology system of wheat and corn pests and disease under protective tillage conditions”, located in Luquan district, Shijiazhuang, administrated by Institute of Millet.

The delegation investigated the prevention and control effects of deep-tillage ecological regulation technology on corn brown spot in Licunzhen base, and the prevention and control effects of high efficiency insecticidal lamp on ear worm of corn in Shanyincun base. ZHANG Lijiao, the stationmaster of plant protection inspection station in Luquan, gave a brief introduction of the base. Researcher DONG Zhiping from the Institute of Millet expressed the report on key innovation technology and development of intelligent IPM on wheat and corn under protective tillage conditions. On the basis of the framework of the technical system, it is required to strengthen and refine the research, provide sufficient data and theoretical support for each technology, make a practical system that can be popularized and applied and effectively solve problems for local farmers.
