Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences organized and invited experts to conduct wheat yield testing and rural revitalization promotion activities in the core demonstration area of wheat green production in the "Rural Revitalization Demonstration Village (Yongnian )".

Yongnian in Handan City is a science and technology rural revitalization demonstration village established by HAAFS. Director LI Yan from the Institute of Cereal and Oil Crops introduced the main progress of rural revitalization, and researcher JIA Xiuling introduced the new wheat varieties of HAAFS, such as Jimai 765, and the demonstration of green production technology of manure instead of chemical fertilizer. After on-site production testing by experts, the average yield of Jimai 765 is 638.4 kilograms, which is 67.7 kilograms higher than the average production field in the surrounding area, with an increase rate of 11.9%. According to the evaluation of yield measurement experts, under the low temperature last winter and continuous rainy weather conditions before and after wheat flowering this year, the wheat in the demonstration area has normal yellowing, large ears and full grains, and the demonstration effect of green production technology in increasing yield and ensuring excellence is very significant.

The rural revitalization work is a comprehensive project. The HAAFS should work closely with the Yongnian Agricultural and Rural Bureau, innovate in the rural revitalization cooperation mechanism, gradually build Yongnian into a comprehensive demonstration base for the transformation of our achievements, and promote the development of Yongnian's agricultural industry.
