In early September, Professor Harro Bouwmeester from the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences and PhD DONG Lemeng visited Institute of Plant Protection of HAAFS for academic exchange. Vice president ZHANG Qiang from HAAFS attended the welcome ceremony.

ZHANG Qiang delivered a speech on behalf of HAAFS on warmly welcoming the visits of Professor Bouwmeester and PhD DONG Lemeng, and thanking them for their cooperation and exchange with HAAFS in the field of plant disease biological control research. He introduced the overview of HAAFS and the basic background of cooperation, and gave suggestions for further cooperation between the two sides in the future. He hoped that both sides could further seek broader and deeper development cooperation, explore joint application for international cooperation projects, jointly publish high-level papers, jointly cultivate graduate students, regularly conduct academic exchanges and visits, enhance relationships, and establish friendship.

Professor Bouwmeester stated that both sides have broad cooperation space and good prospects, and look forward to breaking through innovation, expanding cooperation areas, and working together to achieve mutually beneficial development.
