In order to strengthen the demonstration of high-quality and high yield soybean varieties, under the guidance of the Planting Department of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Institute of Cereals and Oil Crops held the observation and investigation from October 12th to 19th, 2023.11.6
The demonstration base of high yield and high protein soybean “Jidou 21”, located in Chenjiazhuang Village, Gaocheng District, covers a total area of 3500 acres. The expert group selected representative fields according to the "National Soybean Production Measurement Method" and randomly selected mechanical sites to measure the actual yield. The actual yield area was 37.5 acres, equivalent to 328.79 kilograms per mu. After participating in the National Soybean Net Cropping Group High Yield Competition in 2022 and winning the title of "Golden Bean King", “Jidou 21” has achieved a new high in actual yield per mu. The demonstration area of 150 acres of high yield, high oil, and wide adaptability soybeans and Hebei beans planted in Dongliu Village, Qiji Town, Wuji County has a total yield of 4.52 acres, equivalent to a yield of 328.31 kilograms per mu; The demonstration formula for the high-yield and lodging resistant variety Jidou covers an area of 24 hundred acres, with an expert group measuring 4.73 acres, equivalent to a yield of 301.3 kilograms per mu. The actual harvest and yield test results of the three national approved soybean varieties have all exceeded the high yield level of 300 kilograms.
Gaocheng District and Wuji County are the advantageous soybean production areas in Hebei Province, and were listed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs as the national action counties for improving the unit yield of integrated soybean in 2023. In order to demonstrate and create high yield and high-quality soybean varieties this year, HAAFS’s scientists have provided technical services, trained and guided growers to take measures such as seed coating, wheat stubble no tillage and straw covering sowing, increased application of organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer, to ensure that all seedlings are sown at once; In the later stage, key supporting technologies such as chemical control and collapse prevention, "one spray and multiple prevention", and the prevention and control of spot bee edge bugs were adopted. Through the combination of improved varieties and methods, strong guarantees were provided for the increase in soybean production and income in Hebei Province.
