Recently, GAO Zhanlin, an expert on soil and fertilizer in the soybean industry technology system of Hebei Province, and his 4 team members from Institute of Plant Protection, went to farms in Gaoyang County and Mancheng Distinct in Baoding City to check the damage to crops after the rainstorm.

Most of the standing water in the corn-soybean compound planting fields has subsided, and the rainstorm has little impact on the overall situation. However, the occurrence of beet armyworm and grass weeds in the field was relatively high, and soybean plants tended to flourish after the rain. According to the field survey results, the experts gave a technical plan for field management: Use 5% chlorantraniliprole suspension agent 30~60mL/667㎡ or 20% tebufenozide suspension agent 60~100mL/667㎡ spray to control beet armyworm; Use 12.5% sethoxydim emulsifiable concentrate 100mL/667㎡ spray to control weeds in soybean fields. When applying the herbicide, be careful not no spray on corn to prevent herbicide damage. Use 25% paclobutrazol suspension agent 35g/667㎡ timely to control soybean vigorous growth after rain.
